Concrete and Paver Solutions for Pool Surrounds in Tampa Bay
Pool Decks
A pool deck takes more abuse than almost any other surface on your property. It's wet constantly, exposed to chlorine and sun, and has to stay safe to walk on barefoot in summer heat.
Florida pool decks fail for predictable reasons: poor drainage, surfaces that get too hot to stand on, and finishes that aren't built for constant moisture.
Perkins Concrete Inc. installs pool decks across the Tampa Bay area for homeowners, builders, and commercial properties including HOAs and apartment complexes. We serve Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco Counties.

What We Install
Whether you're upgrading a driveway, installing a new pathway, or repairing a pooling walkway, Perkins Concrete handles every phase: planning, installation, and finishing. Serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties.

Stamped & Textured Concrete Pool Decks
Stamped concrete gives you the look of stone, tile, or wood at a lower cost and with less long-term maintenance than those materials. More importantly for a pool deck, textured and stamped finishes provide slip resistance that smooth concrete doesn't.
We install knockdown, broom, and stamped textures designed to stay cool underfoot and safe when wet.

Paver Pool Decks
Pavers are a common choice around pools because individual units can be replaced if one cracks or stains, without redoing the whole deck. They also tend to run cooler than poured concrete in direct sun, depending on color and material. We install travertine-look, concrete, and brick paver decks in a range of patterns.

Cool-Deck & Specialty Coatings
For existing pool decks that have become uncomfortably hot or are showing wear, we offer resurfacing and specialty coating options that reduce surface temperature and refresh the finish without a full tear-out.

Pool Deck Expansion & Repair
If your current deck is too small, cracked, or settling unevenly, we handle expansions and structural repairs, including matching existing texture and color where possible.

The Perkins Concrete Difference
What Sets a Good Installation Apart
Drainage matters more around a pool than almost anywhere else on a property. A deck that doesn't slope correctly pools water at the edges, which leads to algae growth, staining, and eventually erosion under the deck itself. We grade every pool deck to move water away from the pool structure and your home's foundation.
Surface temperature is the other factor most contractors don't account for upfront. Dark, smooth concrete in direct Florida sun gets too hot to walk on barefoot by midday. We talk through color and texture options during the estimate specifically to manage heat, not just appearance.
You work directly with the owners throughout the project, from the initial site evaluation through the final walkthrough.

Common Questions
Most residential pool decks take 4 to 6 days depending on size and finish. Stamped and textured finishes add curing and sealing time. We give you a specific timeline during your free estimate.
Lighter colors and textured finishes both reduce surface temperature compared to dark, smooth concrete. We can recommend the right combination based on your deck's sun exposure.
